全球最大的绿氨动力VLAC横空出世

“Moving Green by Green”- World's Largest  Ammonia Powered VLAC Debuts

 

12月10日,江南造船会同中船贸易公司与JS & Co视频签署了2+2艘93000立方米超大型绿氨运输船(VLAC)合作备忘录。JHW E&C Ltd及法国船级社高层代表到场见证签字。

On December 10, Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co. Ltd, together with CSTC, video signed a memorandum of cooperation with JS & Co for 2 + 2 units of 93000 CBM very large integral green ammonia carrier(VLAC), and witnessed by the senior representatives of Bureau Veritas.

作为“零”碳排放的积极倡导者和引领者,江南造船一直前瞻性地和业界各主要伙伴合作积极推进具有“零”碳排放特质的液化气船开发,继去年完成了所有风险分析推出了氨燃料就绪(Ammonia Fuel Ready)的VLGC后,今天又共同携手JS & Co,法国船级社(BV)推出全球最大的氨动力93000立方米VLAC。

As an advocate and pioneer of "zero" carbon emission technology, Jiangnan Shipyard has been proactively cooperating with major partners in the industry to promote the development of liquefied gas carriers with "zero" carbon emission characteristic. After completing an HAZID (Hazard Identification) and launching the ammonia fuel ready VLGC last year, today Jiangnan cooperated with JS & Co and Bureau Veritas (BV) in order to build 93000 CBM ammonia powered VLAC, which will also be the world’s largest ammonia carrier.

该船将可以用于运输来自世界各地正在开发的许多新的绿色合成氨项目的液态氨,包括JS & Co将推广的项目,以满足欧洲和东北亚地区2025年的需求。

The vessel will be used to transport liquid ammonia from the many new green ammonia projects under development around the world , including the one JS & Co will be promoting , to supply the need of Europe and Northeast Asia from 2025.氨被认为是最有希望实现零碳航运目标的替代燃料之一,作为零碳能源,氨燃料能满足更加严格的温室气体排放要求,可以使船舶满足2050年的终极目标。随着氨燃料需求预期将会扩大,对稳定供应的氨运输船需要也将不断增加。

Ammonia is considered to be one of the most promising alternative fuels to achieve the goal of zero carbon shipping. As a zero carbon energy, ammonia fuel can meet more stringent greenhouse gas emission requirements and enable ships to meet the ultimate goal of 2050. As the demand for ammonia fuel is expected to expand, the demand for ammonia carriers will also increase.

 

01通过与主机厂商的商业化协作,该VLAC将配置氨动力主机。Through commercial cooperation with engine manufacturer, the VLAC will be equipped with ammonia powered main engine.02同时该VLAC还可兼容VLGC的所有尺度和功能,为此可选择性地配置两个甲板氨燃料罐,方便需要时进行其它货品诸如LPG的运输贸易时的氨燃料供给,同样可以实现“零”碳排放。

The vessel is also compatible with all dimensions and functions of VLGC. Two ammonia fuel deck tanks can be equipped to facilitate the supply of ammonia fuel if transportation and trade of other goods such as LPG, thus "zero" carbon emission can also be realized.

03除了常规业务外,VLAC运输的液氨还可以作为氢气中间载体,为大容量液氢运输提供一个现实版解决方案,即,以液化氨形态用VLAC进行海上运输,在输送到使用地后从中提取氢。因为氨在常温下容易液化,便于大容量运输,从而克服了超大容量液氢运输短时间内难以逾越的障碍。

In addition to conventional use, the liquid ammonia transported by VLAC can also be used as an intermediate carrier of hydrogen to provide a realistic solution for large scare liquid hydrogen transportation, ie. be transported by VLAC in the form of liquefied ammonia, and hydrogen is extracted from it after being transported to the place of use. Because ammonia is easy to liquefy at room temperature, it is convenient for large-capacity transportation, which can overcome the obstacle of large scare liquid hydrogen transportation.

Bureau Veritas has maintained a long-term cooperative relationship with Jiangnan on large liquefied gas carriers, and has approved the ammonia ready plan of Jiangnan 93k VLGC.
